About Maryland String Academy

Violin, viola and cello private and Suzuki group lessons. Experienced teachers with doctorate, master and graduate performance degrees. Members of the American String Teacher Association (ASTA) and the National Association for Music Education (MENC.) Lessons in two locations: studio in White Marsh / Perry Hall area and in the Notre Dame Preparatory School in Towson. Our faculty includes: Swiatoslaw Kuznik- professional violinist and teacher, who graduated from the Warsaw Academy of Music, Towson University, and Indiana School of Music in Bloomington (MA, MM, GPD). He performed with the New World Symphony Orchestra (Florida), the Philharmonic of the Nations (Germany), and the Concert Artists of Baltimore. Mr. Kuznik is also the concertmaster and the violin faculty of the Siena Summer Session for Music and the Arts in Italy. Since 2003, he is a member of Maryland Symphony Orchestra. Since 2005, Mr. Kuznik is a music faculty of the Notre Dame Preparatory School at Towson, MD. Dr. Aneta Otreba has doctorate degree in cello performance from the University of Maryland, College Park, where as an ensemble assistant, she studied with Professor Evelyn Elsing and members of the Guarneri String Quartet. Since 2003, Dr. Otreba is a member of the Maryland Symphony Orchestra. Her additional performances include the New World Symphony (Florida), Concert Artists of Baltimore, Annapolis Symphony Orchestra and Washington Summer Opera. Dr. Otreba is also a faculty of the Maryland Performing Arts Institute in Towson University, the Ward Center for the Arts, and the Siena Summer Session for Music and Arts in Italy.
